Technical Manager

Job Requirements


Key Responsiblities

1. Reports to the General Manager (Plant) on all matters pertaining to the efficient management of projects for the development, implementation and operational requirements for new products, process improvement or upgrades.
2. To deploy project management tools such as Microsoft project, statistical approach and effective project management.
3. Ensuring all equipment purchases are recorded and monitored until project completion.
4. To head and supervise all new project development and ensure implementation of project on time and on budget.
5. Ensure efficient negotiation for new equipment purchases and approval of Purchase Orders by the Managing Director & Plant Manager are sent to the designated vendors.
6. To lead in cost reduction program related to process efficiency, equipment and machine parts management.
7. Plan, budget, coordinate and successfully execute all production equipment preventive and corrective maintenance and other activities for area of responsibility.
8. To ensure full enforcement on the execution of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance.
9. Define budget requirements for capital projects and other operations in area of responsibility.
10. To lead the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Team to implement effective program for the plant operations.
11. Support Manufacturing and engineering personnel in identifying and troubleshooting potential or existing manufacturing problems.
12. To provide technical support and work with R&D and Product Management department in the development of new products & materials.
13. Assist in for process validation and provide assistance to the QA Manager in validation, commissioning & qualification of new equipment.
14. Assist the QA Manager in implementation of the quality management system, and in automation process flow is in a state of compliance to GMP requirements.
15. Coordinating with Production, QA and Engineering Dept to ensure the smooth running of all production equipment.
16. Review and provide technical input on new manufacturing equipment proposed by R&D.
17. Assist in trouble-shooting, investigation and rectifying of production related problems.
18. To ensure smooth maintenance program for Production, QC and R&D equipments.
19. To ensure operation staff performs duties in accordance to established procedures and comply with Safety and Health and Environment Objectives and Policies, and Good Manufacturing Practice.
20. Assist in ensuring compliance and work towards meeting the company’s GMP, Health and Safety and Environment Objectives and Policies.
21. Responsible to participate in any activities pertaining to training, fire fighting and safety & health.
22. Maintaining and network and relationship with vendors to ensure latest information equipment and technology are available.
