Microbiologist

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Microbiology or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in microbiology laboratory operations within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of microbiological testing, method development, and laboratory procedures.
  • Familiar with sterile and non-sterile dosage forms.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and aseptic techniques.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, including technical competency, quality system compliance, staff training, and proficiency testing.


Key Responsiblities

 

  1. 1. Plan, supervise, and perform microbiological testing for raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, and finished products
    2. Ensure all testing activities comply with GMP, GLP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
    3. Support microbiological validation, investigations, environmental monitoring, and OOS handling
    4. Maintain laboratory equipment, media preparation, reference cultures, and laboratory inventory
    5. Prepare and review microbiology procedures, SOPs, and quality documentation
    6. Provide technical support and training related to microbiology operations
    7. Monitor laboratory performance and ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results
    8. Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental policies
